Day 01 - Istanbul Arrival
When arrival to Istanbul Airport, you will be met by our guide and will be with you during your transfer to your hotel. If you have time, you will have an short walk with one of our guides around Sultanahmet to get acquainted with the neighbourhood.
Day 02 - Istanbul
We will go out in the morning to visit the Sultanahmet Square and the gorgeous Blue Mosque decorated with beautiful 17th century Iznik tiles. Then walk around the historical Hippodrome where chariot races were once done. After strolling Hippodrome, visit the Hagia Sophia / St. Sophia and Museum. An early Christian church, later changed into a mosque under Ottoman rule, this fabolous temple now serving as a museum with all the handmades from the Byzantine era intact, is especially famous for its mosaics. After lunch, we will visit the Topkapi Palace Museum, the house of the legendary Ottoman Sultans, now converted into a museum. It has got several exhibition halls, such as the Treasury, the porcelain section, Armoury and Holy Relics. We will finsh the historical day with a visit to the Grand Bazaar and go back to the hotel for overnight.
Day 03 - Istanbul
You will visit Spice Market first, still in use as one of the world’s biggest and most famous spice bazaars since 1665. Next, we will get on the ferries across the Bosphorus which will take us to both European and Asian sides of the city. This magnificent voyage will take you along the shores of Bosphorus and you will see the Rumeli Castle from the 15th century as well as the seaside summer palaces and unique wooden houses of the area, as well as the natural beauty of the forests above. Today, you will also go to Grand Bazaar which is the largest covered market in Turkey. The last break on the cruise is the fishing village of Sariyer, near the Black Sea. From there on we will go by coach via the world’s only Intercontinental Bridge Bosphorus Bridge to take you to Camlica Hill on the Asian side. Camlica is the highest hill in Istanbul where you will enjoy breathtaking views of Istanbul. We will visit the Dolmabahce Palace, the house of the royal Ottoman family with original furniture and beautiful gardens. After the tour, you will be transferred your hotel.
Day 04 - Istanbul / Cappadocia
Early check out and drive to Istanbul Airport for 06:30 Cappadocia flight arriving at 07:50 to Kayseri Airport. When you arrive the Cappadocia, you will be taken to your hotel to have a rest for a great trip on next day. After having breakfast you will first visit the fairy chimneys which are famous all around the world. Their shapes are like mushroom house. You will also make witnessing to the nice view of Devrent Valley. Then, you will go on your tour from Avanos where you will have your lunch. After lunch, you will be taken to Göreme Open Air Museum which is called by Unesco as a Heritage Site. When you come to end of your tour you will visit the natural churches in Uçhisar. End of the day, you will be transfered to your hotel. On your fifth day of your tour you will have a fantastic night in your traditional Cappadocian cave hotel.
Day 05 - Cappadocia / flight to Izmir (Ephesus)
After breakfast check out from hotel, another full day tour starts with the visit of the famous Derinkuyu Underground City, we'll stroll through the underground city of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu. Afterwards a short walk through the spectecular Ihlara Valley along the stream and visiting some of the churches dug into the walls of the gorge. A break in Belisirma village for lunch and then go on to Selime for a panoramic view. Our last stop will be at the Agzikarahan Caravanserai built by the Seljuk Turks to accommodate travelers on the ancient Silk Road. Returning to hotel for refreshment & picking up luggage to board on an overnight coach to Selcuk or Kusadasi. Optional: Flight from Kayseri to Izmir & transfer to Kusadasi.
Day - 06 Ephesus / flight to Istanbul
Upon meeting at hotel lobby to join a small group to visit the Ancient City of Ephesus. Soon you'll find yourself on the Sacred Street connecting the Great Theatre with the Library of Celsus, the facade of which has been fully restored. Walking on the beautiful side walks for pedestrians paved with mosaics, private hill houses, little shops, State Agora are just a few of the places we will see. After lunch, we depart to visit the House of Virgin Mary where she is said to be brought here by St. John and have spent the last of her days. We will see the shrine and small chapel which is a pilgrimage sight just recently visited by Pope Benedict. The tour also includes a visit to the remains of Artemis Temple & if time allows a visit to the old Greek Village of Sirince. Transfer to Izmir Airport for Istanbul flight (1hr), transfer to your Istanbul hotel upon arrival.
Day 07 - Istanbul Departure
Check-out (12:00) from hotel and remainder of day will be at leisure till your transfer to Istanbul Ataturk Airport for your homebound flight.
